About

The people say who. The method says how.

The Docket sources, screens and scores private market deals, and publishes the reasoning, so investors can see what is available and what deserves a closer look.

Who publishes it

L&N Collective LLC.

The Docket is published by L&N Collective LLC and run by a small and mighty team with backgrounds in big tech and private-capital investing, backed by automation and technology that sources publicly available deals at scale.

Independence

No sponsors. No referral fees.

The Docket accepts no sponsor payments and no referral fees, and has no commercial relationship with the deals it scores. A sponsor cannot pay to be reviewed, to be scored higher, or to be left out. Every deal is checked against the same rules.

How it works

Find. Grade. Publish.

We find the deals

Every week our automated sourcing screens 1,000+ private deals across SEC filings, business-for-sale marketplaces, private credit and real estate platforms, and other channels, then removes the noise with one set of criteria.

We grade them

Each deal that advances is scored 0 to 100 on deal structure, operator track record and market conditions, the same way whether it's a loan note, a car wash or an apartment building.

We publish all of it

The week's deals, a deep dive on a standout, and articles on the judgment behind them. Good scores and bad ones, with the strength, the risk and where every point came from.

How we verify

Two of four, every time.

Operators are checked against public records. An operator clears verification when at least two of four points can be independently established: a matching legal entity name, a prior SEC Form D, a website with deal history, and a named principal with a traceable background.

What we are not

An intelligence platform, not an adviser.

The Docket is not a newsletter, a publication or an adviser. It is an intelligence platform that brings access and knowledge to the private market by surfacing and scoring deals. It is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer or fund manager. A score is an editorial judgment from public information at the time of review. It is not a prediction of returns, a recommendation, or investment advice, and scores aren't updated after publication.
